It's stated that they ate only very picky types of berries, many plants, and not too much meat. If they did eat meat, it would most possibly be deer, boar, bear; things that are normally hunted today. But, definitely not dinosaurs, yeah, no dinosaurs. I'm really not sure if they ate any types of birds. Wild turkey would be my best guest.
