In the related links box below you can see them both.
It was pure hell.
Very much the same as before, except in Hiroshima & Nagasaki where the two bombs were dropped.
No atomic bombs were dropped after the war ! The two 'test' bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki before the second world war ended. It was the result of the devastation the bombs caused that brought the war to an end.
Some [people close to the President did not like the idea.
If you are referring to "the" bombs, it sounds like you're referring to the two "Atomic" bombs that were dropped on the city of Hiroshima on 06 August 1945, and Nagasaki on 09 August 1945, thus ending WWII. If your referring to the Battle of Iwo Jima (where the US flag was raised), bombs and naval guns pounded that whole island.
Easy. Basically there were two types of nuclear bombs (Atomic bombs). One is fusion and the other is fission. Fusion bombs are Hydrogen bombs that were only invented and tested on 1950s. When America drop the bombs on Japan , it was fission type. Both Uranium and Plutonium in Hiroshima and Nagasaki respectively.
A strange way to describe it - 'introduced'. 'I would like you to meet a nuclear weapon......' The bombs were dropped on civilian cities Hiroshima and Nagasaki, without any warning, in August 1945.
Japan surrendered, ending WW2. This took only the first 2 bombs of the 23 bombs scheduled to be dropped in 1945 should Japan refuse to surrender. Except for the MK-I gun bomb dropped on Hiroshima, the rest of these were MK-III implosion bombs like the one dropped on Nagasaki. The bombing schedule was 3 each in August, September, and October; 7 each in November and December.
Because the US dropped 2 nuclear bombs on Hiroshima & Nagasaki. And then we threatened to drop a third on Tokyo. The emperor really didn't like nor want that....
The cons of dropping the atomic bombs over Hiroshima and Nagasaki were the number of civilians killed. The other facts were positive like ending the war and the number of lives saved of our military personnel.
The United States. The US Army-Air Force dropped atomic weapons on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Hiroshima bomb was dropped by a plane called the Enola Gay, piloted by Col. Paul Tibbets, on 6 August 1945.The Nagasaki bombing occurred on 9 August 1945. Again, the bomb was delivered by the Enola Gay, this time piloted by Maj. Charles Sweeney. These two bombings represent the only use of nuclear weapons during war, and brought about the surrender of the Japanese Empire, thereby ending World War II.
Not likely to be able to get a number of this. It is sort of like looking for the number of bullets that have been fired in warfare. The number is huge and the records are not comprehensive. You can find numbers for some wars from one side or another, and all are going to be estimates. And does it count if it was dropped into the ocean or just jettisoned?Against mankind in ww2, two atomic bombs were dropped. One in Hiroshima and the other on Nagasaki.
