The Pomo's lived in a house called a "longhouse". It could fit up to 60 people inside it. It was made out of earth, and roots. The roots and rocks help hold together the bricks made of earth. Also, when they hunt, they use something called a "teepee". It is made of Buffalo skin, and it is easy to move.

These huts were built out of tule or other long grasses, redwood bark and/or other woods over a framework of tree branches and made just large enough to sleep in and store theirpossessions.
