Anything Jackson believed in!
I believe the Jacksonians developed into the Democratic party.
Individualism and an agrarian economy restored traditional republican virtues
Brook Farm
They accused Jackson of acting like a monarch.
suspicion of special privileges and large business corporations.
The original bass player for Lanier and company and the Jacksonians was Jimmie Morris of Jackson Tn.
As a man who......full filled the noble goals of the Revolutionwas arrogant and did not understand the common man
The goal of the Jacksonian was to offer a level playing field. They wanted people to have a chance to improve their status based on talents and energies rather than through lineage.
The Jacksonians attempted to gain supporters in the South, West, and North. This was the way the Jefferson Republicans had been able to defeat Adams. The Jacksonians also claimed they represented the "common man" and depicted their opponents as the party of the rich and privileged. That was not really true because there were members in all social classes in most major parties. The Jacksonians did score one by appealing to democratic values which seemed to be missing in the infamous "corrupt bargain." Jacksonian democracy was influenced by the west and many of the restrictions placed on voters soon were being replaced or done away with completely. The west was an area where a person was judged by his independence and ability, not by his social status. That influenced the thinking of those calling themselves Jacksonian Democrats.
The Anti-Jacksonians. No one said it was a particularly clever name. (They came up with a better one a few years later: the National Republican Party.)
American democracy was changed in which he supported Unity more than state rights and he did not refrain the federal government as Jacksonians believed.
Jacksonians often referred to the 1824 election as the "Stolen Election" because while Jackson swept the popular vote by a wide margin, he did not have enough electoral votes to automatically win the presidency. Therefore the election had to be decided by the House of Representatives.
