Zeus, the Lord of the sky, controlled the weather and the sky and ruled over the other gods. Posiedon controlled the sea, and was one of the Big 3, the three gods that were brothers and were the strongest out of the gods. Hades, ruler of the Underworld, the place where all deceased souls went to rest, was another of the Big 3. There were 12 main gods, but these 3 were the most powerful.
