King George III and parliament put taxes in certain goods WITHOUT their consent and they were also not given the right to have elected representatives to go to England, the "taxation without representation" is a catchy rhyme to symbolize that they wanted a voice but they didn't have a Representative to show it.
i'm pretty sure it was "No Taxation Without Representation."
