Two of them were crashed into both Twin Towers in New York City, both towers collapsed.
The third plane crashed into the Pentagon. However news coverage of the Pentagon wasn't as heavy as the media coverage of the Twin Towers, for obvious secret national defence reasons.
A fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. The plane was believed to have been headed for the White House in Washington DC. It is currently unknown why the plane crashed. Some believe the passengers tried to re-take the plane and lost control, some believe the terrorists lost control themselves, while some conspiracy theorists believe it was shot down by the USAF.

The terrorists attacked the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington D.C. on September 11, 2001. They hijacked four commercial airplanes, crashing two of them into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, causing the buildings to collapse, and another into the Pentagon. The fourth plane, United Airlines Flight 93, crashed in Pennsylvania after passengers attempted to regain control from the hijackers.
