Listen carefully to Jesus. He said, "It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of his household!" (Matthew 10:25). Jesus is our Teacher. We are His disciples because we want to be like Him. Jesus is our Master. We are His servants, doing whatever He tells us to do. That being the case, He warned us that people will treat us as they treated Him. How did they treat Him? In the case He mentioned, they called Him Beelzebub, the prince of the demons.

How then can we expect everyone to treat us like kings and queens all the time? Listen, the true Beelzebub is out to get us. Therefore, he will do anything he can and use anyone he can to tear us down. Be prepared for it. This applies to Christians. God Bless.

Is beelzebub a demon or the devil?

Depends. In mythology Baalzebub or Beelzebub means "Lord of the Flies", a demon. In the New Testament, Mark 3:22, the Pharisees accuse Jesus of casting out demons in the name of Beelzeboul, a prince of demons. II Kings 1:2-3,6, refers to Beelzebub (Baalzebub) as Lord of the flies. Baal is a semitic word for lord or master. Beelzebub was the god of the Ekronites: 2Kings 1:2 Now Ahaziah fell through the lattice of his upper room in Samaria, and was injured; so he sent messengers and said to them, "Go, inquire of Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I shall recover from this injury." The Jews looked upon all the deities of the Gentiles as demons, or devils; and since Beelzebub was the chief of them, in Mark 3:22 they thought they could not use a more reproachful name, to give to Christ, than this. Beelzebub is not Satan: Mark 3:23 So He called them to Himself and said to them in parables: "How can Satan cast out Satan? Satan will not destroy his own kingdom.
