Saint Thomas wanted to see the wounds of Jesus Christ in His hands and His legs and to touch these wounds to make sure that JESUS who was crucified Has really risen from the death ,and JESUS made him touched His wounds to make him sure that He was really JESUS CHRIST who was crucified. And after touching JESUS wounds,Saint Thomas believed that JESUS CHRIST has risen from the death...
Thomas DID believe when Jesus was risen. He didn't believe when his friends TOLD him Jesus was risen. After Thomas saw the crucifixion scars on Jesus' body, and saw Him standing there breathing and palpable, he believed - thoroughly.
"doubting" Thomas.
Thomas the Apostle, also called Judas Thomas, Doubting Thomas, or Didymus.
The apostle Thomas first failed to believe that the other disciples had seen Jesus after he was crucified. But as he refused to believe them, he is refered to as the doubting Thomas.
Thomas.
The disciple named Thomas was called a doubter when he did not believe that Jesus had indeed risen from the dead.

Thomas would not believe without seeing the wounds of Jesus.
I believe scripture says that Thomas, along with some of the other disciples, went back to fishing after Jesus' death. Thomas is most noted for his reaction to the resurrection of Christ. When Jesus first appeared to His disciples after His resurrection, Thomas was not there. Upon being told of the story, Thomas declared that he would not believe unless he could put his hand in the wounds in Jesus' hands and side. Jesus reappeared to His disciples and this time Thomas was there. Jesus told Thomas to go ahead and touch His hands and His side, and to believe. When Thomas saw Christ he bowed down to worship Him as Lord and God. What a great story. Even more, Jesus declared that those of us who believe without seeing are truly blessed.
Because He raised from the dead and ascended into heaven.
When Thomas heard about Jesus resurrection from other disciples, he said: "Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe."- John 20:25But when he saw the Lord, he said: " My Lord and my God"- John 20:28
The meeting of Jesus and Thomas was rather uneventful, and there is no information about it other than that Thomas became one of the disciples. The really interesting encounter was after the resurrection, when Jesus appeard to the disciples and Thomas wasn't there at the time. The disciples told Thomas about the meeting, but Thomas refused to believe them. "Unless I see in his hands the print of the nails," he declared, "and place my finger in the mark of the nails, and place my hand in his side, I will not believe." Eight days later, Thomas was with the others when Jesus appeared again. Jesus presented himself to Thomas and answered the conditions for Thomas to believe. In shock and awe, Thomas could only answer, "My Lord and my God!" This story is told in John 20:24-29.
