Since the time of the pharaohs, Egyptians have eaten salted fish during the spring festival. the modern name for the fish is "faseekh", and the festival is called "Shamm el-Naseem".
There is a relation between the religion of Ancient Egypt and the pyramids. The Ancient Egyptians buried their Pharaohs in pyramids during one era. Since the Pharaohs were considered to be living gods, their tombs were religious structures. The pyramids have no relationship to the religions of modern Egypt, which are primarily Islam and Coptic Christian.
