During the New Kingdom, pharaohs began building more secret tombs in an area called the Valley of the Kings. The burial chambers were hidden in mountains near the Nile. This way, the pharaohs hoped to protect their bodies and treasures from robbers.
Some things that got traded in the Renaissance were artwork and scientific ideas.
The two things that brought wealth to the Pharoahs were their power and their loyalty to his/her citizens

The Middle Kingdom (1975-1640 BCE) was founded by Mentuhotep II. During the Middle Kingdom upper and lower Egypt were united and Thebes became the capital city of the Pharaohs. During this period the Egyptians also developed block style artwork, they irrigated Faiyum, increased harvests and told stories through writing.
The ancient Egyptians believed that the pharaohs became divine after death. Different pharaohs were devoted to different deities during their lifetimes, as evidenced by the temples they built.
