amongst other things women could play tennis, watch horse racing, go to the cinema and watch a film, or take a swim for recreational purposes.
These activities were mostly reserved for the rich however, mainly because the world was in the firm grip of the Great Depression, and most middle-class women were too preoccupied with trying to cope and survive.
remember, back then a woman was expected to do two things: raise children and keep a happy home. these came before time waisting recreational activities.
don't get me wrong however, every woman has the capacity to find some way to make things interesting for herself, and nobody ever lost the capacity to tell a good ol' one-liner. :)
Hope i could help!

During the 1930s in America, women were treated as if they were valueless. Women were nothing in the eyes of men, and there was no equality between men and women. Women were second-class citizens. They were expected to stay home and raise their children and nothing more.
Berets were very popular with women in the 1930s. Now, finish the homework with out this website. :)
