I recall the first words in my mind when I found out I was pregnant: love and "big responsibility". Pregnancy is when parents put their big pants on, choose to act grown up, and put their unborn child first. Pregnancy begins the voyage--birth sets the sails. Parents must know how to direct the ship so their child is always protected.
Sometimes going to free parenting classes helps with my parenting skills. Parenting is something that is learned with daily consistency. Practice makes perfect.

There are many different types of parenting styles. Some parents co-sleep, others don't. Some parents do attachment parenting, others don't. Co-sleeping is a decent parenting choice. Attachment parenting for some people, is not. My opinion is that positive parenting works best.
Well as a parent I personaly think that one of the standards about parenting is the kids. They often are misbehaving but they also make you proud.
Yes, teenagers should be taking parenting courses in highschool because it gives them an outlook on what its going to be like when they are a parent in the future. Abstinence is key. Teenagers should be well aware of the consequences of pregnancies and in my opinion i think it is a perfect course to take! :)
It is true that it is beneficial to go to parenting classes. It helps both parents become more well-rounded and prepared for the things that they are going to have to overcome.

You're going to develop your own approach to parenting, and you're going to eventually accept that there is no one, true, perfect way to raise your kids. All parents, no matter who they are, are really just hoping for the best, and nobody has "The Answer." That said, there's a lot of wisdom out there. Talk to other parents, talk to your own parents, co-workers, friends and relatives and get as many parenting tips as you can gather.
Try going to parenting websites such as www.babygaga.com to seek advice from other mothers.. Also keep a child like frame of mind when choosing your designs. Think like a child.

There are a lot of parenting books available to teach you helpful parenting techniques and you can probably get them at your local library. One of the best types of parenting advice I ever got was to trust your own judgment. Everyone will have opinions on how you should raise your child but nobody knows your child better than you do so go with your first instincts and what you think is in the child's best interest.
