You battle him/her in different places
A number of US Civil War battles were fought on Northern soil. The most significant ones were Gettysburg (Pennsylvania, 1863), South Mountain and Antietam (Maryland, 1862), Perryville (Kentucky, 1862), Wilson's Creek (Missouri, 1861), Buffington Island (Ohio, 1863), Monocacy Junction (Maryland, 1864), Fort Stevens (Washington, DC, 1864) and Falling Waters (Maryland, 1863). Gettysburg and Antietam ended Robert E. Lee's two invasions of the North (South Mountain was fought a few days before Antietam). Perryville ended Braxton Bragg's invasion of Kentucky. Wilson's Creek did much to save Missouri for the Union. Buffington Island put an end to John Hunt Morgan's Ohio Raid. Federals under Lew Wallace (who later wrote the epic novel "Ben Hur") slowed Jubal Early's Confederates who were on their way to Washington. Fort Stevens was a minor battle but it ended Early's invasion of the North. Falling Waters took place during Lee's retreat from Gettysburg.
Indeed the places were three: Peach Orchard, Little Round Top and Culp's Hill
look up the civil war in Kentucky there are hundreds of places in Kentucky where battles were
No, "battle" is not a proper noun; it is a common noun that refers to a conflict or fight between groups. Proper nouns name specific people, places, or organizations, such as "Battle of Gettysburg." In contrast, "battle" can be used generically to describe any fighting or conflict without a specific name.
No one particular place. A lot of the casualties from Gettysburg are buried there and national cemeteries were established at many other battle sites. Of course, those who survived and went home are buried in little church yard cemeteries all over the country.
Not enough info... the wilderness is a big place, and many battles have been been fought in places which could be considered wilderness
The Civil War just didn't take place at Gettysburg. There were many other places.
