Some dinosaurs ate meat, and some ate plants. Plant eaters included Triceratops and Apatosaurus, and meat eaters included T-rex and Velociraptor. There were also a few that ate both plants and animals, and these included Ornithomimosaurs and Oviraptors.

You can see it on the dinosaur's tooth, too. A curved, sharp tooth indicates a meat eater, and a flat, broad tooth or a leaf-shaped tooth is that of a plant eater.

Carnivores, as thus far discovered, are all bipedal animals, though ranged in size from the massive Spinosaurus, Carcharodontosaurus, Giganotosaurus, and Tyrannosaurus Rex to the diminutive Archaeopteryx, Coelophysis, Microraptor, and Sinovenator.

By far the most diversely represented dietary type for dinosaurs is the Herbivore, encompassing everything from the big sauropods like Brachiosaurus and Diplodocus to Stegosaurs, Ceratopsians, Iguanodonts, Hadrosaurs, Ankylosaurs, and others.

While more sparsely represented, the omnivores were those who fed upon both mean and plantlife. Everything from plants and incests to eggs and lizards or small mammals are fair game to these animals, who didn't grow to reach sizes much more than 8 feet in length. The Ornithomimids, such as Gallimimus and Anserimimus, were omnivorous, as was Oviraptor.
