Galen's theories were widely accepted until the 16th century. Between the 16th century and the 19th century, there was a period of time referred to as the medical revolution, which saw the emergence of modern medicine. During this time, Galen's theories were no longer accepted as the standard for medical practice. However, some of his ideas, such as the four humors, the role of the liver, and the heart as the center of life, were still accepted as valid, and these theories were used to explain medical phenomena. It was not until the 19th century, when advances in science and technology allowed for the development of modern medical practices, that Galen's theories were completely rejected.Galen's theories were still believed and accepted by the medical community up until the 16th century. During this time, his ideas were heavily relied on to explain and understand medical phenomena, and were seen as the standard for medical practice. Among his many theories, the four humors, the role of the liver, and the heart as the center of life were all accepted as valid. Some of Galen's theories were still accepted and practiced even after the 16th century. However, with the rise of modern medicine in the 19th century, his theories were eventually rejected and replaced with more scientific approaches. This marked the end of the medical revolution, and Galen's theories were no longer accepted as the standard for medical practice.
The spacecraft takes its name from previous ships of exploration named Discovery, primarily HMS Discovery, the sailing ship that accompanied famous explorer James Cook on his third and final major voyage. Others include Henry Hudson's ship Discovery which he used in 1610-1611 to search for a Northwest Passage, and RRS Discovery, a vessel used for expeditions to Antarctica in 1901-1904 by Scott and Shackleton (and still preserved as a museum).

why is the northwest passage have been an important discovery
Galen was and is considered the authority on ancient medicine. He wrote a book on it that has come down to us pretty much intact. However his greatest discovery was with nerve experiments, which proved that the brain controls the movements of the body by means of the cranial nervous system. This theory is still believed today.
Depends how early you mean, but the discovery of fire was the first very important discovery for man, then their was the wheel, and also agriculture.
Because every person was important to Rome. However in the case of Galen, he was not only important to Rome as a medical researcher and physician, but very important to us, as his writings give us insight into Roman medicine. Galen studied the circulatory system and the nervous system. He discovered that the brain controls all the motions of the muscles by way of the nervous system. This concept is still valid today. He also documented the Antonian Plague which ran rampart through Rome and from his writings, medical historians believe that the "plague" was smallpox.
The roadway, referred to as the Appian Way (Via Appia), was built in the 3rd and 4th centuries BC as a military supply line across the Pontine marshes. The first section was completed between Rome and Capua in 312 BC.
Yes. The discovery of copper and tin, and of their ability to form a useful alloy, heralded the Bronze Age; and bronze alloys are still very important today.
A Haunting does still air on the Discovery Channel as well as Investigation Discovery as well as Discovery Science in the UK, however, they are reruns as the show ended at the end of it's fourth season.
Galen was a Greek doctor who worked in Rome in the 2nd century. his medical knowledge gradually dominated and was still used in the middle ages. he came up with the theory of opposites, he also believed in the four humors. :)
without it we would not be able to see the cells of plants and animals therefor life and bacteria will still be a mystery.
Pavlov made a very important discovery, that you can condition a physiological response. This has had a great impact on our understanding of behavior.
Don't worry if you lose track of time and Nina dies, get Galen's ( her husband) friendship points up to 255, re-enter the house and an event with Galen happens. You will find the stocking on the wall by the calendar in your house. P.S. You should find Galen in his house which is the one that is on its own in the bottom right of the map.
