Mother Teresa helped with leprosy and she treated people who had no one to care for them. she also helped them because leprosy's was deadly disease and doctors were too scared that they might catch it so they did not help out
Mother Teresa did not really provide high-level hospital care or medication, but hospices that allowed people to die with dignity. She cared for those with leprosy, but did not provide the antibiotics that would have cured them. In fact, she refused the low-cost basic medication that could have eased suffering for those in acute pain, believing that it was God's will that they suffer. A great many of her patients were Hindus, and her greatest wish was that they be baptised as Christians before dying.

Yes, she went there to help the people there (obviously) and got a land grant from the government. But then the government came by and said she had to leave and the government had better land, but Mother Teresa refused to go. Eventually, the government let her keep the land and let her have the other land as well.
