∙ 10y agoThere are three buttons. The X button allows you to abandon what you are doing. The tick button will enter what you are doing, just like pressing the Enter key does. The fx button opens the Insert function dialog box so you can find a function you want to use.

∙ 9y agoWhatever is in the active cell, be that a formula or a value, will show in the Formula bar. It is sometimes referred to as showing the cell contents. They will always be shown without any formatting that may have been applied to the cell.
