Arabian Horses are not actually a "species" but a "breed" of horse. Like there are Thoroughbred, and Saddlebred horses, they are all separate horse breeds. The Arabian breed of horse is a particularily appreciated one. Arabian horses are particulairly beautiful and elegant horses, reknowned for their lovely arched necks. They are medium in height, and very well-tempered.It has been found that Arabian horses do wonderful in dressage acts.Hope I have helped!

The Arabian is a man made breed and thus it's home will look like where ever it's owner keeps it.
The Arabian horses attention span is a little different from other breeds. A lot of Arabians are high strung and can be easily distracted but all horses can be like this, some horses ( Arabians too!) can be very ,very interested in whats put before them.
Arabian horses have only the basic gaits of most other breeds. they do not have 'easy' gaits like those of 'gaited' horses. Arabians have the ability to walk, trot, canter, and gallop.

The same diseases that affect all horses are capable of affecting Arabian horses. Many Arabian horses are sensitive to a high green content in hay, and are therefore susceptible to colic. Arabian horses can contract any of the regular horse diseases if they are not properly inoculated against disease. Just like with any horse, make sure you keep a close eye on it and at first sign of illness, call the vet before it gets worse. For a description of some genetic diseases that affect the Arabian horse, please see the Related Links section below.
An Arabian is a breed of horse but it was the first breed of horse every horse has a little bit of Arabian in it so if you say that Secretariat was a FULL throughbred that would be wrong he would have a little bit of Arabian in him
Arabian horses, like all other breeds of horses, do not hibernate. Horses have rather small stomachs and must constantly graze in order to maintain their weight. They are not capable of "gorging" themselves in order to survive a hibernation and in fact, overfeeding a horse could actually cause it to colic.
