December 25th is Christmas (a holiday for Christians). Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, a savior come to free us from our sins. (If you want the full story- look in your Bible for Luke) Christians celebrate this by giving gifts to others- rejoicing for the birth of Jesus.

Unless they are Christians, Chinese people would not normally celebrate Christmass. If they are Christians they would celebrate it on the 25th December.

Christmas is celebrated by Christians and non-Christians because the majority of people believe in god and Jesus and they obviously will believe that, that was the day that Jesus Christ was born even though it was not the accurate day it was a guess and that's why its celebrated on December 25th.
