Most protestants take the miracles literally as they remind us of the power of God at work in this world. Protestants also believe in miracles happening throughout history and today. However, unlike Catholics they do not revere anyone as saints because a miracle (or miracles) happened after prayer to that saint. Protestants believe that miracles can only be performed in the power and name of Jesus Christ and not by praying to a dead saint.
