Sunday is a day of sabbath for christians
Sunday
Christians have always worshiped on the Sabbath
To obey God.
It depends on what you believe!!!Some Christians think the Sabbath day should be on Saturday (7th day) because that was when God rested in the Creation. But most Christians think that the Sabbath day should be on the Sunday (1st day) because that was when Jesus rose from the dead.
They avoided hard labor on the Sabbath day, the Sabbath generally means day of rest so they did other things like shop.
Good strong Christians. It is hard. But it is possible.
Christians Rejoice Using Scriptures All Day Every Sabbath
Because it is the sabbath, the day of rest.
The Sabbath is the holy day of rest. Most Christians now celebrate the Sabbath on Sunday, to commemorate Jesus' resurrection. The Sabbath is to be observed once a week.
He didn't. Firstly, you've got the numbers wrong: the Jews celebrate the Sabbath day on the seventh day of the week, which is Saturday. Christians instead meet on Sunday, which is the first day of the week. Jesus didn't change the "Sabbath", his followers did... and not immediately; the ones among them who had been Jews kept observing the Sabbath, but they also met on "the Lord's day", Sunday, because that was the day on which Jesus rose from the dead. It wasn't until there were a substantial number of non-Jewish Christians (who had no tradition of observing the Sabbath at all) that Sunday became predominant.
Sabbath or שבת (Sha'boss) in Hebrew is celebrated on the 7th day of every week because the Christians and Jews believe that God created the world in 6 days and on the 7th day He rested and therefore so do His people. For Jews the Sabbath is celebrated on Saturday because that is the 7th day of the week in the Jewish calender, for Christians the 7th day is Sunday.
