That if you ask Christ to forgive you for your sins, and accept him into your heart, and get saved, then when you die you will go to heaven to be with Him.
Liberal Christians do not spend a lot of time thinking about death; they believe that Christians need to be carrying out God's work here on earth among the oppressed.
Most of the people from the Shakespeare's time were Christians. They had the same beliefs about death as Christians currently do. They believed that when you died you went to heaven.
Umm. Christians?
Yes Christians believe in life after death. The Bible (God's word) teaches that.
Us christians have the same as anyother people we have a funeral.
some are, but others aren't - not Christians in general
True Christians believe what the scriptures teach about death and what happens afterward. The scriptures point out that when (the large majority of) people die, they simply return "to dust" a.k.a. breakdown to the bare elements they were created from and cease to exist. The same thing happens with animals. (Ecclesiastes 3:19-20) This has been happening since Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden. (Genesis 3:19) During this breakdown process, the person knows/feels nothing; completely unconscious. (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6 & 10) Only a small group of people are chosen by Jehovah God and Jesus to go to Heaven: 144,000. (Revelation 14:1-4) So what about the other righteous people that have died through the centuries? Or those that died before gaining any knowledge of Jehovah? There will be a resurrection of both righteous and 'unrighteous' (a.k.a. those that died before knowing who Jehovah was or His principles) people (John 5:28-29; Acts 24:15), who will then be able to live forever on Earth, one devoid of evil people. (Psalms 37:10, 11, 28 & 29) Those that died with no knowledge of Jehovah will be given a chance to prove themselves faithful, and if they do so they'll be able to live eternally alongside the rest of the righteous. (New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures)
Christians look at death penalties as an offence that is not acceptable. This is against the sixth commandment which states, "Thou shall not kill. "
Christians dont really "have" Lent its more like a tradition. Christians are preparing for the Death and Resurection of Jesus Christ
No, Christians do not believe in Jannah, as it is a concept in Islam referring to paradise. Christians believe in heaven as their ultimate destination after death.

It is not the death, but the resurrection of Jesus that is remembered at Easter by Christians.
