They believed they went to the Duat and journey with Anubis who protected them until they reached Osiris's hall where the gods and goddesses gathered and the heart of the deceased was weighed staging the feather of Ma'at.
Afterlife
They believed they would go to the afterlife after they died
The people who die go into another world. They don't need food from this world. It was shere ignorance of the Egyptians to place food, water into their tombs.
Egyptians are native to Africa.
Long ago Egyptians believed that there was a next life in which they can not die. Now they would believe the same thing as you.
Yes they did
yes they did
go to the beach and chill
afterlife
No
no they believed when you die, you go to a place where you relive all of your favorite things in life, like sailing, playing, sex etc.
The "soul" to them was the ba and ka: your personality and "uniqueness." You had to be well preserved and mummified so that after you die, your ba and ka could recognize you and return to your body. For you would use that body to go on the journey to the Afterworld. Like Heaven for the ancient Egyptians. :)
