a difference between the two is in France you have to take a test called le bac and it is very very hard to pass and if you do not pass it you cannot graduate and you can only take it like 3 times i believe. if you don't pass you can not graduate high school at all and you will have no other opportunitites to retake the test again or graduate. Also kids go to school in the morning and normally their parents pick them up at lunch time they go home all have lunch as a family for about an hour and a half and then the kids go back to school but they have to stay much later then us they stay until about 5 or even 530
