Girl Guides in Columbia participate in projects based on health, hygiene, recreation, medical services and the environment.
They participate in festivals, raffles, and bazaars to finance activities.
They "learn by doing" and develop leadership skills, responsibility, service, equality, and discipline.
They learn the Guide Promise and Law. They attend camp.
They attend meetings and they work in patrols of 5 to 8 girls.
Each level has various activities which a Guide must complete in order to earn the scarf and one or two badges for that level. Guides at the highest level may also earn various bars for mastering various skills such as First Aid and hiking.
