Herefords can weigh from as little as 950 lbs (as the old type Herefords did way back in the mid 1800's), to, as today, more than 2500 lbs. Cows weigh from 950 to 1600 lbs (or more), and mature bulls weigh from 2000 to 2800 lbs. Average weight for a steer and heifer is around 1200 lbs.
