Put the foot in a bucket full of warm water for like 10 minutes if that doesn't work then put an ice pack on it or something cold but make sure you put a towel over the ice pack or the other cold thing because if you don the dog could get frost bit.

∙ 13y agoYou need to take your dog in to be checked out by your Veterinarian. The swollen leg could be caused by many different things and only a Veterinarian would know for sure. Do NOT treat your dog at home and leave him in pain with an infection or broken bone, take to see a VET!

∙ 7y agoWhat can be used to treat any swellings depends on the cause of the swelling. Without some sort of reasonable diagnosis, applying cold packs to recent swellings or hot packs to old swellings it about the only thing you can try.
