What do I need to setup a wired connection for my PS4?

Your PS4 has WiFi technology. Technically, you could just search for a wireless connection and enter a password to connect to any wireless connection. You would need a router and an Ethernet cable in order to set up a wired connection to your PS4.

You can see that the information is just predictions on a future based on the earlier models. When the PS4 comes out it can be named differently,but it will never be marketed for release during 2012 because it will first be unveiled at a electronics show and preorders will be taken for many months before the actual release.
Do you need to put the internet on PS4?
Be a real waste not to, but it is not mandatory to play the games with the limited capabilities Keep in mind that it was designed to work with the internet and offers features that can only be used with an internet connection. Even the PS3 is much better with an internet connection

Wifi power line adapter is a much better connection than wireless to increase the speed of ps4.
