celebrate? no, death is rarely if ever a joyful affair for normal people and is usually accompanied with a measure of emotional pain and grief. Jehovah's Witnesses recognise this.
Jehovah's Witnesses do celebrate the death of Jesus Christ at their yearly memorial services because of the blessings they believe that particular death procured for mankind.

∙ 13y agoThey follow the biblical pattern. Observed once a year, the memorial opens with a song and an opening prayer. There is a bible based discourse and then bread and wine is passed around to all in attendance (each preceeded by a prayer). Last year there were approximately 18 million in attendance but only 10,857 actually partook of the bread and wine. Then the memorial closes with song and prayer.

∙ 11y agoVery much so. Jesus asked his followers to celebrate only one day in any given year and that was the memorial of his death.This was on the evening of the first full moon of the spring equinox, then known as Nisan 14th.
Last year 19,013,343 came together on this Memorial Day in recognition of Jesus' command to do this in memory of him. Rather than celebrating a release from slavery in Egypt, Jesus followers would from then on, look to Christs ransom sacrifice, which would enable their release from sin and death.
There is therefore nothing unscriptural in celebrating the death of a loved one, if one wishes to do so.
