Jehovah's Witnesses believe in Jesus Christ. As The Bible says, they believe that he is God's son and that he gave his life for us. As 1 Peter 2:21 says, they try and follow his foot steps and copy his example. That is why they preach from door-to-door, because Jesus said that 'this good news will be preached in all the inhabited earth.'

However, although they follow Jesus, they do not venerate him or pray to him, because as the Bible says, that kind of adoration belongs only to Jehovah God himself. (Deu. 20:5)

We certainly do consider Jesus Christ as 'divine'.

We must remember that some words in the Bible (Hebrew or Greek) are blown way out of proportion to what they really mean.

The word 'god' for example; simply means: 'mighty one'. Therefore even in the Bible the word 'god' is applied to angels, and even humans. Even Satan is called 'god'. So just because the word 'god' is used, is really not a big deal.

Likewise with the word 'divine'. It simply has the meaning of being 'god-LIKE'. Just as God is a 'mighty one' - - God is also of 'divine nature', --or-'heavenly-nature'. God is a spirit. God is not made of the physical things which God later created from himself.

The Bible clearly shows that there are DIFFERENT 'KINDS' of life; or different 'FORMS' of life. There is the 'spirit / heavenly' life-form. Then there are various KINDS of 'physical' life - forms.

When God started creating; the first KIND-of-life he created, was life - like himself. He was a god, he was divine, he was a spirit. He created 'ANGEL' - KIND. All angels that are obedient to God are of a 'divine nature'. They are all divine. The Bible calls angels 'gods'.

So certainly, Christ Jesus is 'divine'. He is of 'divine nature'; he is 'god-LIKE'.

But this does not mean that Jesus is 'God the Father'. He is simply the 'Son of God'.

Being "divine," or of "divine nature," does not make Jesus as the Son of God coequal and coeternal with the Father, - - any more than the fact that all humans share "humanity" or "human nature" makes them coequal or all the same age.

In brief, this is what Jehovah's Witnesses believe.

The Trinity on the other hand, is not of Bible origin. The Jewish people, and the early Christians did not believe in the Trinity concept. A little research regarding the origins of the Trinity would confirm this.

Do jehovahs witness believe that Jesus Christ is the reedemer?

Well I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses and I can tell you truthfully that yes, we most certainly do believe Jesus Christ to be the redeemer of mankind. We base all our beliefs in the Bible and it says in John 3:16: "For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life." That 'Son', is God's Son, Jesus. I could go on and on on this subject, but I'm pretty sure I just gave you the answer right there; yes. :-)

Can a Jehovah witness date someone who is studying the faith?

There are many different type of Christianity based religions. Jehovah's Witnesses are one themselves. Being a christian is basically about believing that Christ was alive, and that he did come to earth at one point in time. The difference about Jehovah's witnesses and some other Christians is that Jehovahs witnesses believe that Christ was Jehovah's son, not God himself. And so, to answer your question, Jehovahs witnesses do not date girls or boys from different religions, Christian or not. If someone were to be in a relationship with a person who has a different god, it would almost be like he believes in that god as well. If a witness were to date a girl or boy of a different religion, it would be because he or she is not truly worshiping Jehovah.
