In those days, the seven towers could be seen from any of the main roads leading into the town. The towers were the Old Parish Church, St. Patrick's Church of Ireland, First Ballymena Presbyterian Church, All Saints Chapel, the Old Town Hall tower, Braidwater Spinning Mill and Ballymena Castle. Four of them are now demolished, with only the Old Parish Church, St. Patrick's Church and All Saints now remaining.
