What human rights are abused in Xinjiang?

The indigenous population of Xinjiang is mostly composed of Türkic peoples called the Uiyghur. The Chinese government has systematically denied the Uiyghur's rights to protest for increased autonomy, increased democracy, and the Chinese authorities have created Chinese (Han ethnicity) colonies in Xinjiang in order to make the territory more "Chinese" and therefore more difficult for the Uiyghur to manifest their independence.
