By the way, I am by no means an expert, I am still a student. I am learning about cellular respiration and fermentation which has lactic acid and pyruvic acid in it. And both can also be called with lactate and pyruvate. My textbook does so and my teacher subtly said this was true. I don't know yet because we have a graded lab on it, so afterwards she will be able to tell us.
