during the winter they migrated but not that sure because they move to different places like what bears do but that's causes death. no one knows what alligators do look to another site thank you

they dig out a den in the bank of a pond and go dormant (hibernate) until the surroundings heat up again

Alligators do not hibernate, they brummate. They slow their metabolism down when it gets cold. Some go in their burrows especially if the burrows have air.

They do eat if the tempreture is warm enough, however if its cold they slow down and can go without food for a long time.
