carbon dioxide
plants make energy and food from the sun with photosynthesis. Animals eat plants which give the consumers energy. We breathe oxygen
Photosynthesis
Animals such as omnivores depend on plants 2 make food.
Plants are primary producers. They use the sun's energy to make food. Plants are the base of food energy in the world. Sun ----- plants ------- animals. Plants also use carbon dioxide from the air when they make food and the give out oxygen as a result of making food. All animals need oxygen to live.
Green plants use a process called photosynthesis to make food from sunlight. Only green plants can make their own food. Other plants (like mushrooms) and animals do not make their own food, but get nutrition from green plants (or dead green plants). Animals do not make food from sunlight. If they could, they would not need to eat.
People are "animals". Animals can not make their own food they have to eat other animals and or plants to survive. Plants can make their own food (from air, water and sunlight) - they are the basis of all food - without plants there could be no animals.
-----ANIMALS-----
cell wall to give the plants fixed shapechloroplasts. contains chlorophyll, needed by plants to make food. animals do not need to make food
Animals do not have chlorophyll.
Plants utilise what animals give out like their excretory products while animals utilise what plants give like oxygen, fruits, etc.
Plants use chlorophyll (it's what makes all plants green) to take the energy of sunlight and use it as a source of energy. There are other differences, but the above is the most important.
animals can't make their own food, plants and people can but animals can't
