The first line of protection for a bobcat is their coloring. They are fairly small in the cat family and can blend into the surroundings very well. Next is the teeth and the claws. They will attack and I wouldn't want to go up against one.

In fact, these small cats have a larger pad of fur around their paws that act as snowshoes, allowing them to run around on the winter snow.
