There is no such species as an american rock python. If there are rock pythons in america - they are either African rock pythons (Python sebae) or Burmese pythons (aka Asian rock python) (Python molurus) - which have been released into the wild by incompetent owners !

The Key Largo Woodrat is an an endangered species. The Burmese Python is an invasive species, and is harming many native and endangered species in the Everglades. A Burmese Python can even eat an alligator - it will eat anything, no matter what size. This is why the Key Largo Woodrat is threatened by the Burmese Pythons.

They certainly can - Specimens of the larger Pythons (Burmese Python or African Rock Python for example) - can consume considerably large prey animals. Same goes for the Anaconda.
