The Capybara look allot like a cross between a Ground Hog and a Hog, with no tail. They are the largest rodent alive in the world today, but they don't look like one. Adults have reddish brown fur that is long but rather thin, a barrel shaped body that is on average about four feet long, and weigh about 140 lbs. Their back legs are longer than the front, tilting them slightly forward and their feet have a bit of webbing in between the toes. Their forehead and face is short, and sloped from the shoulders, the muzzle is squared off, and the females are just a bit heavier, or bigger than the males. For more details see sites listed below.

---------------------------

That's not a bad answer but the shorter answer is that they look like giant guinea pigs (to whom they are closely related) but with longer legs, coarser hair and webbed feet.
