Most primary care physicians should be able to manage Type II diabetes adequately. If your physician has difficulty controlling your disease, s/he may refer you to an Endocrinologist, who specializes in the management of endocrine diseases, such as diabetes, thyroid and adrenal diseases.
Could be a sign of canine diabetes, buy some diastix at walmart etc, these check for glucose in the urine, if it is high that can suggest diabetes, if so go to the vet immediately this is serious if not treated.
Take your dog to a vet, diabetes is not rare in dogs, and may be easily treated with switching food. If switching food is what the vets recommend do a price check for it on-line you should be able to find it cheaper then what it is at the vets office. Answer2 He needs food or he is sick You can check your dog for diabetes with Diastix sold at the pharmacy, they are inexpensive, if gluocose reading is high go to the vet immediately
