Domesticated house cats do things like:

  • eat
  • drink water
  • groom, preen
  • scratch
  • sharpen their claws
  • clean their claws, which 'shed' an outer covering as the nails grow; biting and pulling at the nail pulls off the outer covering
  • stretch
  • sniff
  • observe
  • watch out windows
  • play if another cat is in the family
  • play with fake mouse toys
  • cuddle
  • insist on getting petted
  • purr
  • growl if upset, annoyed
  • love catnip!
  • SLEEP -- cats sleep most of the time!
  • if not fixed, they breed like crazy!
