Animals having babies suggests that the emergence of something new is somewhat removed from you, the dreamer. You are not producing or experiencing this new thing directly, but you may be responsible for these developments in some way or they might be interesting to you. The alligator dream is more complex but not necessarily meaningful. Alligators do not have babies in the real world; as reptiles, they lay eggs, and neither the father or mother provide much nurture to the hatchlings. Symbolically, the dream refers to some new thing or development that has been rejected or perhaps destroyed by those who were responsible for its creation.

It depends on what type of animals you are talking about. Hamsters (girl and boy) mate and have babies, BUT after the babies have been born, the father must be separated from the children and mother because soon the father will start to eat the babies and we do not want that. The baby hamster would not have a long life and the hamster is bad for the fathers intestint.
