They allow your car to sit lower by raising the wheels, instead of getting shorter springs or something like that.
The best way to go is with drop spindles.
"Musclecar" spindles give you some options. You can buy "drop" spindles which will drop your front ride height 2" improving appearance and lowering your center of gravity for better handling. The replacements will also make a conversion to disc brakes easier.
It is best done with drop spindles and springs.
Drop spindles are generally used to lower the front end of a vehicle while maintaining the correct camber and caster alignment.
drop spindles. bout 150 for two
If you are trying to drop the front end 4 inches I would recommend replacing the stock front spindles with 3 inch drop spindles and replacing the front coil springs with 1 inch drop springs. If you cut the front springs to drop the front end 4 inches, proper alignment will be impossible.
Yes they will lower your xtreme. the xtreme only comes with 1/2 lowering springs, and stock spindles
Are spindles bipolar
My sources show there are different part numbers for spindles on the 1967-70 (drum brakes), 1971-72 (disc brakes) and 1973-87 (disc brakes).
