It looks a bit like a parrot but smaller and less color. Parakeets can be mostly blue with some white and black feathers, mostly green with some yellow and black feathers, or mostly yellow with some green and black feathers

∙ 11y agoA pregnant parakeet will have a very tender vent and her butt feathers will look poofy and fluffy. And if you flip her over while holding her in your grasp gently you can feel lumps on her belly and abdomin. She will asls behave very protectively and may bite alot. *addition she will also act constipated sometimes like she can't go to the bathroom, and when she goes they are HUGE poops, WAY bigger and nastier than normal. She usually spends a lot of time in the nest box and ripping up the bedding you put in it to make herself comfortable. Many times, the male will feed her a lot while she is pregnant

I have 2 female birds right now. When we got them, we asked if they were females. the Man said that if they have a pinkish purple nose, and when they rest, their feet are wide apart, they are most likely females. Felmales can be any color.

∙ 11y agoA female budgie looks exactly like a male, except it's cere (the nose above the beak) is brown. It may be white if the budgie is young. Young budgies will have bars on their heads in addition to pale ceres. Very young male budgies will have white ceres, then it turns a little pink, then blue, and finally blueish purple. Fun fact: male budgies will sing to female budgies...males are the noisy ones, and females have soft chirps. (Male budgies don't have a terrible voice...they're just noisy.
