There’s nothing better in the entire world than receiving flowers. Someone thinks you're special and wants to express their appreciation for you, but it always seems like your flowers die within a week after getting them. Here are some ways to keep your beloved flowers alive longer.
Cut Foliage and Stems
The minute you get your flowers, take all of the foliage off the stems. When you fill the vase with water, you don't want any foliage to go beneath the water. You also want to cut the very bottoms of your stems to open them up for fresh water to be able to enter.
Right With Sprite
Flowers need an acidifier to survive. An acidifier is anything that will make your water citrusy or acidic. If you add fruit juice to your water, however, it will change colors. A better option is to use Sprite because not only is it an acidifier, is also has sugar, which is also necessary for your flowers to stay alive. Try adding water and Sprite at a 1:1 ratio for best results.
No Direct Sunlight
Make sure your flowers aren’t placed in direct sunlight. The sun is very harsh on flowers and will dry them out quickly. Just as humans will sunburn when they’re in the sun too long, flowers will also suffer in continuous sunlight.
Replace Water
You want to make sure to replace your flower vase water every two days. Bacteria likes to hide in the water and without constant water changes, will kill your flowers. Don't forget to add your can of Sprite back into the water as well.
Re-cut the Flowers
Each time you change the water, your should also re-cut the flowers. Every time you do this, you are enabling more water to get into the flower and flow up the stem better.
Flowers need warmth, water, and plant food to help them grow.

Silk flowers or artificial flowers will be just fine. Not only can they be more expensive than fresh cut flowers or arrangements but will of course last longer.
I can't find any evidence that this would make them last longer. In fact I can't find any evidence of anyone putting flowers in a water & batteries mix.
what coke can do to flowers is that it can rotten the roots of the flowers and they may not grow as big as some other flowers in the world (p.s this answer was made by Natasha Delgado)
it does becuz the chemicals help the cut flowers last a lot longer
7 up sprite and flower food
They get blown away by the wind, get carried from flower to flower by a bee or butterfly, and some flowers have female flowers and male flowers and they reproduce then when pollen gets stuck on to the pistil. I think flowers are pollinated because everything is a circle of life. For example, flowers and plants need bugs to help pollinate them or they will die. Bugs need pollen because without it they will die. If bugs were to no longer exist, then plants will no longer exist. If plants don't exist, we (humans) eventually will no longer exist as well.
Gifts are better then flowers. The female instincts would prefer the flowers but not the male. Flowers are mainly for women to enjoy and die within a few days, gifts last longer.
