Yes, it is possible for a guppy's tail to be bitten off by another fish in the tank.
yes but it would need a heater as they are both tropical fish and you would need to change the water alot.
A male guppy can be in the same tank with its own kind and/or with almost all peaceful fish smaller than 5 inchs.
2 or 3
I have an Oscar Cichlid in the same tank as mine and I also used to have it with guppy's.
There are several possible reasons why your guppy may have disappeared overnight. It could have been eaten by another fish in the tank, jumped out of the tank, or died and decomposed quickly. It's also possible that the guppy is hiding in a secluded spot in the tank.
Not unless you want the guppy thing to be eaten.
The goldfish should never be in the same tank as guppies. Goldfish are coldwater fish and need to be kept below 70F. Guppies are tropical fish and need to be kept above 70F.
No, a guppy isn't a reptile. A guppy is a fish.
They can be in a community of other tropical fish of the same size.
just leave 2 mails and 1 female guppy in the tank with no other fish in the tank at all times.-Shocker There should be 3 females to one male. If there are too many males, the females will get stressed out. I would recommend a larger fish tank than a half gallon. Maybe a 10 gallon tank. Remember, you are going to have some babies. Where will you put them?
The Gravid female will have the dark "gravid spot" in front of her vent. I can however assure you that if there has been a male in the same tank with a female guppy for any reasonable length of time she will be gravid.
