A volcano eruption is one of the most impressive events in the planet and the effects of volcanoes and their eruptions could be felt as far away as a different continent. The type of effects of volcanoes depends on the size of the eruption. Some volcanoes could be erupting and not cause much damage even to people nearby while others are so massive that should they erupt they could trigger a world sized catastrophe. So what type of disturbances would you see if there were a massive eruption today? To answer that question we need to be clear about the type of volcano that we are talking about. Volcano eruptions are measured in what is called VEI or Volcano Eruption Index which goes to a most powerful eruption of a VEI8.
Death.
Good fertliser for crops however humans get suffocated by it.
yes
No. Nothing we can to can prevent volcanoes from erupting.
when it erupts the lava can flow to places and the ash cloud and gases from the volcano are very dangerous for humans.
they run and scream like mad women..... and men!
Outside of prayer, there is nothing humans can do to stop a volcanic eruption.
destroy homes and villages, kill people, kill humans food source plus it coats your home in lava then hardens :)
A volcano can destroy homes, kill people, and ruin lives. It csn create new landfrorms, bring tourists, and have other good uses.
Well that depends, currently the dormant volcano in Yellowstone National Park its going to threaten the whole North American Continent when it blows up. But I don't think that there is a single volcano that could affect the whole world (at the moment).
To date, no deaths have been conclusively linked to the Loihi submarine volcano, which is located off the southern coast of Hawaii. The volcano is deep underwater and not a direct threat to human life.
A large, dome-shaped volcano is known as a shield volcano. These volcanoes are characterized by their broad, gently sloping profiles built up by many thin, fluid lava flows. Mauna Loa in Hawaii is a famous example of a shield volcano.
