I had that problem with my 1997 Lhs replaced the PCM and it works fine.
Not very likely, but it is possible.
Could be your radiator not working, or it could be the circuit between the engine fans and the battery is bugged. Take it into a shop and ask them to check the fan circuits for you. Could have a coolant leak.
Yes.
Got the fans working myself but its still overheating.
Low coolant? Cooling fans not working? Water pump not circulating coolant? Radiator plugged or restricted?
radiator coolant switch, pcm coolant switch, relay , pcm , related circuitry or fuse.
i have replace the thermostat, checked the fans, filled with water and it is still overheating. Very often, the waterpump leaks and stops working only years after it was last replaced. Coolant is probably not flowing from the engine to the radiator to be cooled.
Are either of your fans working? If both are not working then there is a separate relay for the fans that is located under the air filter attached to the metal frame.
Do NOT srive it unless you have to! Call your local Chrysler company and ask them if it's ok to drive it to them. Get it fixed and you're good to go!
The coolant fan may have a blown fuse. The electric motor, on the coolant fan may be not working. The ground wire on the cooling fan may be corroded or loose.
fans not coming on when they are supposed to coolant might be too old or the wrong coolant water pump might not be working air pocket in coolant system coolant temp sensor faulty could be debris in front of radiator Also there is the fan circuitry under the coolant globe. In some cases I have seen that constant overflow has damaged circuits in the box and the unit will need replacement
failed coolant temp sender for the fans
