What do i need for WiFi?

With the assumption that the term wifi means a wireless network between 2 or more computers, one only requires 3 basic components (besides the computers themselves): 2 (or more) wireless adapters and a wireless router or hub.

The adapters (assuming wireless functionality isn't built into the computers themselves) can be PCI cards, USB devices, or any one of the many possible devices currently on the market. You will need 1 wireless adapter per computer. These can be purchased at most retail electronic outlets.

The wireless router itself is usually a standalone device, purchasable at most retail electronic locations, that will provide a hub for the network as well as a gateway to other networks (such as the internet).

Exceptions:

Many WiFi devices are capable of connecting directly to each other (2 computer connecting directly via their adapters, without a router). A common example of this is handheld game consoles.

Hotspots are WiFi enabled locations in areas like coffeeshops, restaurants, etc. This means that someone with a Wifi enabled computer or device can connect to the Internet or other public network via a local wireless router. (1 computer with WiFi adapter and 1 public WiFi router)

You need a Wi-fi box - read the simple Intrutions that follow - If you some how have Wi-fi and Lost the instrutions here is what to do:

1) Get the Plug and switch it in at the wall, connect the other end to your Wi-Fi.

2) If wireless; Miss this step and read the part at the bottom of this Article stated Wi-fi

Take the wire with to sides the same, look at your computer and find were to plug this into, plug it in once found then take the other end and plug it into the Wi-fi

3) Take the phone plug thing and plus it into a WiFi Plug (phone plug) - If you do not have you must Buy and Install; or get somebody to install it for you. Place the phone wire (If you have one) into the part with the picture of a phone or labaled phone, take the other part and connect it to the WiFi Plug (phone plug).

If you seem to be expericancing probelms, set this up at the MAIN WiFi plug (phone plug)

WiFi PLEASE DO STEP 3) FIRST! - this involes you PC, turn it on, go onto 'Control Panel' and find 'WiFi Settings' now search for your Wi-Fi and enter the code you got on the cade, if lost, I cannot help you their, now hopefully your internet should work, you might have to give it about 1minitue to start at times
