As a previous installer for Lowe's, when Isub'ed for them we tended to get paid a portion of the installation cost. ie, $5,000.00 for cabinets + $900.00 installation = $675.00 to the installer (they get 25% of the install cost + the mark up on the cabinets) not bad on their end. Say $5000.00 for the cabinets which cost actually $2500.00 + the 25% from above $900.00 installation cost +$2725.00 to them, so yeah its a racket

Lowes Home Improvement is one option for buying and installing a round shower. Lowes has stores all over the US, and all of them will have at least a few round showers, and installers to install them. But, depending on where you live, there may be a local store with installers that may be cheaper than Lowe's. I suggest looking in the yellow pages of you local phone book.
No they do not. They hire outside companies to sub-contract the work that will be done at your house. These companies have gone through extensive background searches, are properly insured, and perform some of the best quality workmanship in their respective industries. Lowes hires only the best installers to work for their stores. They want to send top-notch companies into customer's homes.

I suspect your question is, is it required or "expected" that you tip. Since most installers are either paid a full wage (not like waitresses, for example), or are independent contractors who set their own fees, the answer is no. However, as with any service, you can tip if you find that the installer is exceptionally courteous or gives special attention to ensuring a quality job. This helps reward the particular installer's quality service, and, if he lets it known that he is frequently tipped, could foster other installers to enhance their level of care.
Do not tip the carpet installers. Home services, such as carpet instalation, has a set price that includes labor.
There are many individuals and companies that will install carpet in Central CA. You look for installers online at sites such as Craigslist.
